The mission of the Museum of Science, Boston is to stimulate interest in and further understanding of science and technology and their importance for individuals and for society.
To accomplish this educational mission, the staff, volunteers, overseers, and trustees of the Museum are dedicated to attracting the broadest possible spectrum of participants and involving them in activities, exhibits, and programs which will:
encourage curiosity, questioning and exploration,
inform and educate,
enhance a sense of personal achievement in learning,
How to get there
The Museum is 200 yards away from the MBTA Science Park station (on the Lechmere Green Line).
Travelers must negotiate a flight of stairs between the station platform and the street.
The most accessible route for people using a wheelchair is Park Street station (Red Line) to Lechmere station (Green Line).

The Museum's on-site garage provides paid parking for approximately 850 cars on a first-come, first-served basis

Sunday - Thursday 5:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Friday - Saturday 5:30 a.m. - 12:00 a.m.
On busy days, i.e. weekends and vacation periods, the garage may fill to capacity. Allow extra time to get to the Museum before your visit. Please note alternate parking options below and on our map.
